I'm Back World! Miss Me?

Hey Internet, I'm back.  I know that I have been gone for awhile, and that this is Monday, but beggers can't be choosers.  No matter how much they beg.  Anyways, I noticed that I actually have a comment on the previous post.  Discentive, I can honestly say that I have no clue about the stuff you advise, but if it helps then sure.  Just let me know how to do it, and I'll try to set it up.  As for the reason I have been gone, there are three reasons.  School hits hard when it's almost over, especially at my current age.  There was also the question of how to tackle my writer's block, so therefore I have had very little progress.  Finally, I somehow managed to have a life, which is very distracting.  Don't worry, my life shouldn't be much of a problem for Summer. (I am extremely upset, but eh, I'll live)

Exciting news in the world of me, I was contacted by Xlibris about future publishing!  I know that there are all kinds of people who self publish, and they will probably disagree with my choice, but who cares, they're not me.  There is nothing official until I finish my book, but at least my finish line is a little closer and a lot more noticeable.  On that note, I should probably get back to my story.  As always; comment, follow, whatever, goodbye.

Progress Report

Hello Internet, I have returned.  It looks like I have no fans, but I shall continue either way.  Good news in the book department, I have been contacted by a publisher earlier this week.  I just got information in the mail about them today, so I will scan it when I am done blogging.  As for the progress of the book, I am nearing the end of chapter 9, meaning either 1/4 or 1/3 is done.  So long as I am not struck by writer's block, I should finish my first book by summer.  Woo!  So, same as usual.  Remember the 3 rules, post your support, and tell your friends!  The word of my book must be spread!  Until next time, Internet.

The Birth of a Blog

Hello, fellow Internet people.  This blog is my little bit of insanity that comes with writing.  I made this to get the word out about a book I'm working on.  I plan on making it the first book of a series: The Emote Archives.  I will be posting weekly progress (I hope, I may forget every once in a while) on where I am in my book, but I will need your help.  Honestly, I have no idea how to publish a book or get the word out, so that's where I am counting on all of you.  Now, the blog is open to conversations concerning Trial, and I will try to answer any questions you might ask throughout my authoring.  But first, I will post a prologue of the story to spark any interest.

Prologue

“Rage, hurry up! They’re coming!”  Joy and Pain were pinned behind the fallen column, gunfire chipping away at their only protection.  I sent out a burst of power at the assailants, distracting them long enough for me to join my friends at the column.

“Okay I’m here, now how are we going to get out of here?”  Pain and Joy seemed just as fuzzy on that bit as I was.  I sighed in annoyance.  “Why is Hope not joining us here again?  All of the flying explosives seem to have screwed with my memory.”  Pain just shrugged, while Joy sent out her own burst of power at them, making the entire battlefield shudder.

I quickly scanned the surrounding area for any means of escape.  The only thing that wasn’t completely in ruins was an old library, with the sign long since burned by cannon fire.

“Follow me, I have an idea.”

Pain grunted.  “Yeah, like those usually work out well.”  But nonetheless, he followed me and Joy into the old building.

The inside of the library was just as you’d expect, covered in dust, mold, with pieces of the ceiling falling in on itself.  The shelves were scorched by the recent communist uprising.  In the far part of the room, I could see a part of the wall that was missing, wide enough to fit a small car.

“Over here, there’s an exit.  As far as I can tell, it’s the only way we’re getting out of here in one piece.”  I led the way through, checking for any soldiers before gesturing for Pain and Joy to follow.  As he was coming out, Pain pulled a map out of his back pocket.

“According to this, there’s a working train about two hundred yards that way.”  He said, pointing towards what looked like a tunnel.  With a slight nod, we started heading towards our only escape.  When we were about halfway there, I heard a grown man shouting in Japanese.

“I think we’ve been found.  Run!”  I yelled.  About a minute later, Pain was helping Joy into the engine car.

“Rage come on, get in!”  I turned back, and my heart sank at the sight.  There were about four heavily armed jeeps heading towards us, followed by a tank.  With this much firepower, there was no way that we could all get out of here.  I knew what I had to do.  I looked at Pain, and he nodded.  He understood what was happening.  He pulled Joy into the car, and closed the door.

I started walking towards the incoming force, Joy’s screams barely audible over the engine.  With a wave of my hand, the tank exploded, causing two of the jeeps to flip over.  As for the other two, another wave sent them flying on rockets.  I looked behind me, the train just a speck on the horizon.

“Are you alright with what I have to do, Rage?”

“Yes, if I were in control like usual, I would do the exact same thing.”  I could hear the sound of American bombers coming towards the town.

“Perfect.  Now at least this’ll have an explanation.”  I summoned up all the power that I could, igniting my entire body on fire.  The bombs dropped, the planes turned, and I erupted.  Hiroshima ceased to exist, but Rage lived on.

I hope you all enjoyed that.  If you did, I'm sad to inform you that it's the only treat you're going to get until my book is published.  So now, feel free to comment.  If you want to make a suggestion, I have only 3 rules:  1. No vampires.  2. No werewolves.  3.  No sci-fy crap.  Otherwise, I listen to anything.  Later, my Microsoft awaits.
